Help me keep the big cats in the spot-light on Dancing With The Stars

Friend,  I need your vote!

Dancing With The Stars

Monday Sept 14 on ABC 8pm ET

I've been given the op-purr-tunity to participate in the 11 week long series of Dancing With The Stars.  Every week that I can stay in the running, the world will be reminded about the plight of big cats and what we need to do to save them.   There are 15 couples competing to be the last couple on the floor by the end of the season.  I want to keep everyone thinking about wild cats and making the Call of the Wild to end the abusive cub petting industry and phase out private possession for as long as possible.

But I've never danced and I'm the oldest person on the show, so I REALLY, REALLY need YOUR help!  Dancing With The Stars judges the contestants on both their skill and their popularity with the voters.  That's YOU!  I hope you will watch my premiere dance in an amazing cat themed costume, to Eye of the Tiger, and then watch and vote every week thereafter.  The voting doesn't start until the second show on Tuesday Sept. 22, but now is a good time to get familiar with the 20 votes you can cast for me on each show at https://dwtsvote.abc.com/#faq  After Tuesday's show next week all of the rest of the shows will be on Monday.

Love the Tiger Masks?

We just partnered with Sock Fancy to make some exclusive Big Cat Rescue designs.  Your purr-chase of any that have the Big Cat Rescue logo on them shows the world that you love big cats and helps support the cats at the same time.  "I've been wearing them at the studios in Hollywood and they are a show stopper!' - Carole Baskin.  Check out the new designs at:  https://sockfancy.com/products/sock-fancy-mask

Tigers in America Panel for the Freeland Film Festival

I hope you will take the time to watch a great panel discussion on the plight of big cats.  The panelists were: Carson Barylak (Campaign Mgr. IFAW), Sharon Guynup & Steve Winter (Nat Geo Writer and Photographer), Dan Ashe (CEO of Assn. Zoos & Aquariums), Carney Anne Nasser (Animal Protection Attorney), Ellie Armstrong (Stanford Geneticist) and me.  Molly Ferrill ( Nat Geo Explorer and Filmmaker) was the moderator and had prepared the questions and sent them to us ahead of time so each expert could weigh in on their primary expertise and then hop into the discussion on each of the questions after the primary person did their part.

Big Cat Rescue Virtual Reality is Now at a VR Arcade Near You!

You've been hearing about how we have partnered with Xennial Digital to create a virtual reality game that teaches the player how to track wild cats and along the way they find themselves having to rescue Jasmine Tiger from a poacher's snare.  It's been available for the Oculus Rift S, but not everyone has invested in VR gear...yet...so now you can try it out at your local arcade.  Thanks to SpringboardVR it is available to arcades everywhere, so if they don't have it at your local arcade, be sure to ask them to add it to their titles.  To capitalize on the current buzz, it's called Carole Baskin's Big Cat Rescue VR game.  We are hoping it will become hugely popular, as the revenues help feed the cats, but also because more and more schools are using local VR arcades as field trips to take students into learning opportunities like never before.
