Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge Freedom Field

Merger of Big Cat Rescue’s Cat Population with Turpentine Creek’s!

Big Cat Rescue has entered into an agreement with Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge, an accredited sanctuary in Arkansas, to merge our big cat populations by moving most of Big Cat Rescue’s cats to Turpentine Creek.

Howard and Carole Baskin at the Fur Ball

Remember the Fur Ball Fun?

If you were with us back in 2010 you will certainly remember our annual gala, The Fur Ball, as the most fun event of the social season.  We put aside our party planning in order to devote time to passage of the bill to end cub handling and private possession, but now our sister sanctuary, Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge in Eureka Springs, Arkansas is adding the cat costume fun to their annual gala.  Howard and Carole Baskin will be there and we hope you will join us!

Pampas Cat Working Group

The Awwwww Factor is Too Much!

Thanks to you we are able to assist projects in the wild that protect wild cats, where they belong.  We got this nice note and video of Pampas Cats living free:  "We wanted to thank you again for your camera traps for the Pampas Cat Working Group. Our partners in Ecuador just send us some videos from the field and we wanted to share them with you. You can see a puma, a northern tiger cat, and an ocelot."
