No more circus tigers and lions in California!
Tell California legislators that big cats don't belong in circuses.
The Circus Cruelty Prevention Act SB 313 would prohibit people in the state from using wild or exotic animals, including big cats, in the circus.
The life of a circus cat is full of neglect and abuse. Animals are often ripped from their mothers at a very young age to learn behaviors and tricks that people will pay to see. No big cat chooses to jump through a ring of fire or balance on a pedestal. These are unnatural acts that cats are forced to perform through coercion and physical abuse.
Public perception has evolved and people no longer want to see wild and exotic animals used for entertainment. With your help, California will move closer to becoming the third state to outlaw big cats and other animals, such as elephants and zebras, in the circus.
TAKE ACTION! Urge your State Assemblymember to support the Circus Cruelty Prevention Act SB 313! After you submit your letter, please also make a call to Senator Hueso's office at 916-651-4040 to thank him for sponsoring this bill!
